Because of its close proximity to JR Ishiuchi Station, it is often visited by leisure travelers such as mountain climbers and those watching the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival. The inn is open for overnight stays without meals, but the Koshihikari rice produced in Minamiuonuma is delicious.
