It is located in a corner of the Kashima Resort Tateshina Kogen Certo Forest on the north side of the Minoto Exit, which is the trailhead to Mt. Aka–dake, the main peak of South Yatsu–gatake. The restaurant is run by the proprietress and the head chef with the motto of “one guest, one pavilion”, and only one group per day can enjoy the flavorful kaiseki cuisine. It is built using the traditional Japanese wooden framework construction method, and the building has a unique presence, as it is made from parts of houses that are over 150 years old, collected from all over the country and revived by the shrine carpenters over a period of about eight years.
