The inn is located about 100 meters north of Route 257, which connects Nakatsugawa and Gero. The owner is the 12th generation of an old family who spent 300 years in this area, and the current building is the third generation. In 2004, he renovated the building into a modern Japanese style and started operating it as an inn.
