【Ume-gashima Onsen/ Trailhead for Mt. Shichimen-san, Mt.Yanbushi & Mt. Hakkou-rei】

Umegashima is a hot spring resort located in the headwaters of the Abe River in the mountains of Shizuoka City. Although it cannot be said that it is a pure part of the Alps, it is the trailhead for climbing famous mountains such as Mt. Shichimen-san or Mt. Yanbushi. There is a bus from Shizuoka Station, but if you go by car from another prefecture, it will take more than one hour from the nearest Shin-Tomei-Shin Shizuoka Interchange.
