Nyukasa-yama, one of the 300 Famous Mountains, using the Fujimi Panorama Resort gondola.
Nyukasa-yama is an all-season destination, with hiking in summer and skiing in winter, but access by car is very convenient as it is close to the Suwa Minami Interchange on the Chuo Expressway.
In terms of public transportation, a shuttle bus runs from Fujimi Station during the green season, but it only makes one round trip per day, so you will basically have to take a cab.
If you go by car, you can climb Mt. Nyukasa-yama without using the gondola by going straight up to Sawairi trailhead.
