Access to Norikura Kogen

【Norikura Kogen Kanko Center (Tourist Center)-Tatami-daira / Trailhead for the Norikura Mountains】

You can go up to Tatami-daira (elevation 2,702 m), the base of hiking to the Norikura mountains’ peak Ken-gamine (elevation 3,026 m), by taking the bus during the summer.
It is a hiking course that requires less than two hours to reach the highest peak. If the weather is fine, even relatively light clothing is fine.
If you go by car, regulations require you to transfer to a bus in the parking lot of the Norikura tourist center.
Full-scale Norikura mountain climbing starts from the first shuttle bus departure at Norikura Kogen Tourist Center.
You can enjoy scenic climbing via several famous falls.

Parking lot: The Norikura Kogen plateau tourist center parking lot.
Space for approximately 200 cars.
There is also space for about 400 cars in the Norikura Kogen No. 3 parking lot.
There is no need to worry about toilets and drinking water in the large parking lot.
Both are free of charge.
