Access to Happo-o’ne &-Happo-ike-sanso Mountain hut

【From Happo-o’ne to Happo-ike-sanso Mountain-hut／Trailhead to Mt. Goryu-dake, Mt Karamatsu-dake】

The Happo-o’ne Ski Resort is also famous as the main venue for the 1998 Nagano Olympic Games.
In the Northern Alps, it is also the trailhead of Karamatsu-dake, Goryu-dake, and Kaerazuno-ken (Japanese meaning is “can’t return from the peak” = it is a difficult route to pass).
From the bottom station to Happo-ike-sanso take 3 lifts going up. (Happo alpen line) from Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal.

There are several parking lots, but the third parking lot has a capacity of about 200 cars.
There is also a parking lot for about 170 cars near the gondola lift platform.
