【Access to Alps Azumino National Park : O’machi, Matsukawa Area 】

There are two ‘National Alps Azumino Parks’ : one is in the Horikane and Hotaka districts of Azumino city and the other is in the Omachi and Matsukawa districts of Matsukawa village. The Omachi / Matsukawa area is rich in forests that spread over an alluvial fan formed by the Nyukawa River at an elevation of 690-890 m. There are many species of flora and fauna living in the managed area, including large mammals such as Japanese macaques, antelopes, and Tsukinowa bears.
