I can guide you through a wide range of hiking experiences from road hiking to satoyama, alpine, and variation routes. I am particularly skilled in the genres of stream climbing and variation mountain climbing that requires reading maps. I am also well-versed in mountain history, religions, geology, and topography. The mountains I know best are the Northern, Central, and Southern Alps, the Yatsugatake range, and other mountains in and around Nagano Prefecture as well as the Kurobe headwaters and Ito Shindo trail, in particular. In addition to mountaineering, I am deeply involved with mountains through trail maintenance, gathering wild plants, picking mushrooms, practicing (the religious belief of) mountain asceticism, and hunting. Mountains are a part of my being, and I am to pass on the hearts and souls of our ancient mountain dwelling ancestors to the next generation.
